Breatherapy - Conscious Connected Breath

Alan will give a short introduction to the workings and benefits of Breathwork, followed by a demonstration of the technique.

You’ll then have the opportunity to practise in a group breath session for around 10- 20 minutes. You’ll need to find somewhere quiet and warm with enough space for you to lie flat on your back with a pillow under your head and a blanket to pull up over yourself once we’ve finished the practise.

All participants will be guided and coached through the session as a group. During the group breathe you will have your own very individual experience. Sensations of physical and/or emotional release are not uncommon. Most people experience an increasing sense of peace and wellbeing. Whatever your experience you can be sure that it’s just the beginning of an incredible journey.

Breathwork is a benign and yet powerful modality with few contraindications. For anyone with any of the following conditions we recommend that you seek the advice of your GP/other medical professional before practicing breathwork;

  • Epilepsy /Seizures (of any kind)

  • Glaucoma

  • Detached retina

  • Psychotic states

  • Borderline psychotic states
